Established in 1987 when the Kentucky Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America (formerly the National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse) merged with Parent's Anonymous of Kentucky. PCAK was originally known as the Kentucky Council on Child Abuse; in 1999 the name was changed in order to better identify the agency’s mission to the public. Today, PCAK is recognized as the Kentucky affiliate of Prevent Child Abuse America.

View LinkThe Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center (NKCAC) wants to empower adults to protect children and has begun a campaign to reach out to all adults in Northern Kentucky with an educational program, Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children.
90 percent of child abuse incidents involve an adult known by the child and/or the child’s family. You can help lower those numbers and protect these children. As adults, it is our responsibility to protect the children in our community from sexual abuse so that they can grow up to lead healthy, productive lives.
Developed by the national organization, Darkness to Light, the program is research-based, recognizing that it is the responsibility of adults to keep our children safe. Each adult will receive an Interactive Workbook with practical ways to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
NKCAC offers this three-hour training at no cost to your company or organization, although we do suggest a small donation of $10 per participant to cover the cost of the workbooks.
For more information or to schedule a program for your group, please contact us, 859-442-3200.
