“Caring for those you love”
Respite care is generally defined as a “care-giving” service that provides a planned intermittent break from the ongoing responsibility of caring for a chronically disabled individual who is being managed at home. This program is open to individuals 16 years of age and older.
The purpose of the program is to provide short-term relief and respite for persons who are providing continuing care for family members in the home.
The program offers a supervised, structured environment for the family member who may be experiencing physical and/or mild cognitive impairment as a result of the aging process or medical issues.
The program is every Saturday in the Adult Day Health area.
Hours of operation are 9:00am – 4:30pm, excluding major holidays.
The cost is $13.25 per hour with a 4 hour minimum. Cash or check will be accepted at the beginning of the admission day.
We do accept SCL, Michele P and HCB waivers. There is also some county funding available.
Bring all medications in original labeled containers from the pharmacy, as prescribed by the physician.
Bring an extra set of clothes.
Bring any medical supplies or equipment used at home.
